by Emily Valenza

The exhibition, curated by Emily Valenza, presents a series of photographs made over three years (2000-2002) of Palermo, Rome and Paris. BarflyWay is a journey into loneliness and lack of communication today. It is the world seen through the lens of marginalization, the glass of a bottle, which transforms and filters the reality of the empty spaces of the looks and intensity of cardboard. A bottle as a point of view, a visual SOS modern castaways. The exhibition features about 30 shots BarflyWay cycle. Sights, lights, shadows and reflections float on the surface of the photographic image offering a rarefied atmosphere, almost liquid, where the edges of objects appear vague and slight.
